i. need. kitty.

She looked me right in the eyes as she stood on my bed and told me, “I need kitty.” Well, alrighty then.

We had stopped at Walmart on our way home; as we were walking through the children’s section, I noticed some Hello Kitty barrettes and hair bands, and since Lily has a love for all things kitty, I got them. We got home and she had forgotten about them. Later that night, I was removing the cardboard packaging so I could put them away. As she watched me, that’s when things got funny.

That’s when she started with the demands.

They were more quiet at first. Then she started screaming each word individually.

It was one of those mom moments. It was a “no she didn’t” moment. It was a sassy moment like I’ve never seen before.
