letters to our sons: december ’13

Little Man/Kaden K/Brother Bear,

It was a cold night. A really, really cold night. Yet we decided to brave the cold anyway. Of course – it was the town’s annual Santa Parade, and we couldn’t miss it!

We wanted to see the wonder in your eyes, and in your sister’s eyes, too. And what we saw did not disappoint! You watched quietly as the fire trucks, cars, and floats pulled by trucks passed by. You pointed and smiled when you saw the lights. It was all so worth it. The wind, the cold, the bundled up children … yes, it was all worth it.

Afterwards, we went for what was supposed to be a hot chocolate date, but turned into a snack of ice cream, too! It was the perfect end to a perfect night!

My little man, I can’t wait to see what the next week brings. Your excitement on Christmas is going to fill my heart with so much joy, and I am so looking forward to the fun we will have. Dada and I enjoy watching you grow more than you will ever know. We hope you look back on the photographs and videos one day and see the joy in our actions and in our hearts. I love you to the moon and back!

All my love,
MaMum (If you call me what your sister does!)

Please continue the circle and check out the next letter by Sarah – she’s got two sons and plenty of fun stories!!!
